Background
I write apps that delight users and enrich their lives.
I pay attention to the details. It’s the details that make good things great, and normal things extraordinary. I strive to deliver the extraordinary in every part of a mobile application, from the service layer to media players to engaging user experiences.
Experience
I started my career in 2009 at Dillon Software working primarily on a multimedia app named "hoopla", launched in 2013. The app is enjoyed by millions of public library patrons every year across the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. I created the original prototype and subsequently have the privilege of being the lead iOS developer and architect, incorporating support for millions of audiobook, ebook, comic, music, and video titles in addition to rich library-specific functionality.
I took a job in 2021 with Midwest Tape (the owners of the hoopla platform) where I continued to improve the hoopla iOS app.
Most recently, I have contributed to multi.app, a highly collaborative, audiovisual, native macOS app that aims to revolutionize remote work.
I am familiar with different methodologies of software development, but I prefer working in an agile environment on small teams.
